By Charles Daly A Swedish startup founded by former Northvolt AB executives has bought the bankrupt battery maker’s recycling technology and testing facility, with backing from an investment firm co-owned by EQT AB founder Conni Jonsson.

Stockholm-based RefinyX acquired a portfolio of 134 patents and a 1,200-square-meter (13,000-square-feet) pilot and laboratory facility in Västerås from the estate of Northvolt, according to emailed comments. The purchase was funded by Qarlbo Energy, which is jointly owned by Jonsson’s investment company Qarlbo and Thisbe, part of the Wallenberg Foundations’ industrial holdings.
