By Francois de Beaupuy Azerbaijan’s state oil company Socar, French energy giant TotalEnergies SE, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.’s XRG unit approved a project to boost natural gas production in the Caspian Sea.
道达尔能源周六在一份声明中表示，位于阿塞拜疆里海海域的阿布歇隆（Absheron）天然气凝析田二期工程预计将于2029年投产，届时该油气田的总产量将提升至每年60亿立方米天然气和每天4.7万桶凝析油。
Production of the second phase of the Absheron gas-condensate field located offshore Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea is due to start in 2029, with overall field production rising to 6 billion cubic meters per annum and 47,000 barrels per day of condensate, the French company said in a statement Saturday.

While the first phase of the development has been supplying gas for Azerbaijan’s domestic market, TotalEnergies said the planned extension will also export gas to Turkey through existing infrastructure that connects Azerbaijan to the European market.
