TOKYO -- Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance and Japanese trading house Itochu will jointly develop insurance products specifically for self-driving taxis, with plans to begin sales in the U.S. as early as fiscal 2027. The partners aim to establish a framework to cover damages arising from accidents involving self-driving vehicles.
