FRANKFURT - A Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Lisbon was diverted to Lyon in France after a passenger’s powerbank battery caught fire, the airline said.
该事件发生在9月26日，当时这架载有198名乘客的空客A321-200正飞往葡萄牙首都。
The incident happened on Sept 26 while the Airbus A321-200 carrying 198 passengers was heading to the Portuguese capital.
汉莎航空发言人称，机组人员立即将电池放入专为锂电池设计的保护袋中，无人受伤。
A Lufthansa spokesperson said the crew immediately secured the battery in a protective bag specially designed for lithium batteries, and no-one was injured.
出于谨慎考虑，机长决定备降里昂，航班安全降落，未发生其他事故。乘客在酒店过夜后，于9月27日继续行程。
The pilot decided to divert to Lyon as a precaution, and the flight landed without incident. Passengers resumed the flight on Sept 27 after an overnight stay in a hotel.

“The safety of our passengers and crews remains Lufthansa’s top priority at all times,” the company said.

The airline has banned the use and charging of external batteries on its aircraft since January, even though passengers are allowed to carry up to two in the cabin, subject to certain safety conditions.
