香港海关官员本月早些时候在一次行动中，查获了400支从日本进口的所谓“减肥针剂”，估计市场价值约为29万港元（36,970美元），并逮捕了两名当地居民。
Hong Kong customs officers have seized 400 so-called slimming injections imported from Japan, with an estimated market value of about HK$290,000 (US$36,970), and arrested two local residents in an operation earlier this month.
该案件于9月5日被发现：当时海关人员在航空邮件中心截获了一个从日本寄来的可疑邮包。
The case came to light on September 5, when officers intercepted a suspicious postal packet imported from Japan at the Air Mail Centre.
海关部门周一表示：“经检查，海关人员在该邮包中发现了400支减肥针剂，这些针剂涉嫌含有属于第一类毒物的成分。”
“Upon inspection, customs officers found and seized 400 anti-obesity injection vials suspected to contain Part 1 poisons from the consignment,” customs said on Monday.
《药剂及毒物条例》中列出了需要严格监管的毒物清单；这些毒物只能在授权场所出售，而属于第一类毒物的物品则必须由持证药剂师在场监督下才能进行销售。
The Pharmacy and Poisons Regulations contain the Poisons List, which sets out substances subject to regulation for their sale and possession. Those on the list can only be sold at authorised premises and those listed under Part 1 can only be sold by aed pharmacist or in their presence and under their supervision.
在后续的调查中，海关人员逮捕了两名与本案有关的人员，其中包括一名45岁的男子（负责接收邮包的人）和一名41岁的女性（邮包的收件人）。“调查仍在进行中。两名被捕者已被保释。”
In a subsequent investigation, customs officers arrested two local people connected with the case, including a 45-year-old man who collected the parcel and a 41-year-old woman who was the named consignee. “An investigation is ongoing. The two arrested persons have been released on bail,” customs said.
在6月发生的另一起类似案件中，海关也在收件人的住所从来自日本的邮包中查获了161支减肥针剂，价值约15万港元，涉事女性收件人（31岁）也被逮捕。
In a similar case in June, customs also seized 161 vials of weight-loss injections worth about HK$150,000 in postal packets from Japan and at the consignee’s address. The woman consignee, 31, was arrested.

In Hong Kong, almost all anti-obesity drugs are prescription-only medication and should only be used under the close supervision of a doctor, according to the Department of Health.
根据《进出口条例》，任何未经有效进口许可证进口药品的人都将构成违法行为；一经定罪，最高可被处以50万港元的罚款和两年监禁。
Under the Import and Export Ordinance, anyone importing pharmaceutical products and medication without a valid import licence commits an offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of HK$500,000 and imprisonment for two years.
根据《药剂业及毒药条例》，任何人如非根据条文规定而管有列入《毒药表》第1部的任何毒药，即属犯罪。一经定罪，最高可被判罚款10万港元及监禁两年。
And according to the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance, any person who possesses any poison included in Part 1 of the Poisons List other than in accordance with provisions commits an offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of HK$100,000 and imprisonment for two years.
