Authorities in Iraq’s Kurdish region said Monday that three drones targeted the Azadi camp, affiliated with the opposition Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), in Erbil.

The security agency of the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) said the attack struck the camp in the Koy Sanjaq district southeast of Erbil city at dawn, according to local media network Rudaw.

The outlet, citing an unnamed party source, said the drones used in the attack were Iranian-made. The strike caused material damage at the site but no loss of life, the source said. No details were provided about who carried out the attack.

The same camp was previously targeted by drones in June and April amid regional escalation that began with US-Israeli attacks on Iran in February.
