The European Union on Monday extended the mandates of its border assistance and police missions in the Palestinian territories for nine months, until June 30, 2027.
欧盟理事会宣布延长欧盟拉法口岸边境援助团（EUBAM Rafah）和欧盟巴勒斯坦领土警察团（EUPOL COPPS）的任务期限。
The Council of the EU announced the renewal of the EU Border Assistance Mission for the Rafah Crossing Point (EUBAM Rafah) and the EU Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS).

The decision followed conclusions adopted by EU leaders in June reaffirming the bloc’s commitment to international law and a “comprehensive, just and lasting peace” based on the two-state solution, the Council said in a statement. The EU also reiterated its readiness to help implement a comprehensive Gaza peace plan, including through the two missions.

The extension followed a strategic review by the European External Action Service, approved by the EU’s Political and Security Committee, and was based on letters from the Palestinian Authority and Israel, according to the statement.
