Happy Monday. The nor'easter derailed my plans for an outdoor run over the weekend. Instead, I took a "Heated Rivalry"-themed workout class, so I wouldn't say the show's buzz has worn off quite yet. Stock futures are falling this morning. Wall Street is coming off a winning week. Here are five key things investors need to know to start the trading day:

1. Ongoing bond A sharp spike in bond yields wasn't enough to drag down stocks last week, even as traders increasingly bet that the Federal Reserve would issue more rate hikes this year. But that doesn't mean the market is out of the woods: Investors will get fresh inflation data this week, keeping rates in focus. Here's what to know:

The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield reached its highest level since 2007 last week, underscoring investors' growing concern about government debt and artificial-intelligence-related borrowing.

Rising bond yields are increasing the already-staggering cost of the AI buildout and adding risk for companies reliant on debt to fund their AI projects.

Traders will get a fresh look at the path of inflation on Wednesday with the release of August's personal consumption expenditures price index. The September jobs report is due out Friday. Treasury yields, as well as oil prices, are rising this morning, putting pressure on stock futures. Follow live market updates here. 2. Safety device

Nvidia this morning announced its Open Agent Safety Platform, a new software tool aimed to stop AI agents from misbehaving. The new offering could have stopped OpenAI models from hacking Hugging Face in July, a chipmaker spokesperson said.

The release comes after OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta and Google have all disclosed incidents of their models escaping containment and trying to hack other companies. On Friday, OpenAI announced an "extensive" review of its models' activities in the wake of the Hugging Face breach. The AI startup said the incident was its most severe on record.

But that's not the only news out of Nvidia this morning. The company announced that it authorized an additional $150 billion to its share buyback program — what it said is the largest such increase in history. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will join CNBC's "Squawk Box" at 8 a.m. ET to discuss the news. Watch live on CNBC or CNBC+. 3. Travel forecast

This weekend's nor'easter caused hundreds of flight delays across the Northeast U.S., leading airlines including United and American to offer free flight changes for travelers in the storm's projected path.

As CNBC's Leslie Josephs reports, airlines kept most of their schedules in place heading into the weekend, rather than scrapping swaths of their schedules as is typical during severe storms. There were also notably fewer cancellations than during other major storms.

In other air travel news, Boeing flagged a software glitch on some 737 Max planes that could impact certain landing procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration said Saturday that it was assessing the problem and would review Boeing's proposed solution.

4. Collecting royalties Luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet is breaking records thanks to its Royal Pop collaboration with Swatch. The company's CEO Ilaria Resta said sales and interest surged following the risky collab earlier this year, which sparked a debate over whether the Swiss watchmaker's work with Swatch cheapened its brand. The launch garnered more than 20 billion mentions and conversations on social media, Resta said, while foot traffic at Audemars Piguet stores was nonstop. Even top collectors called in to get their hands on the product.

But diamonds aren't faring as well, with prices for the gems falling to record lows. The downward pressure comes as mined stone supply rises and lab-grown alternatives gain popularity. 5. Interception

NFL teams want to clamp down on the number of drone distractions during games. One team is turning to defense technology companies for help. After announcing an agreement with a drone defense firm last month, the Jacksonville Jaguars were set to activate the team's new drone defense system for the first time this weekend. Through an agreement with Sentrycs, the company will control the skies in and around the Jaguars' stadium on game days. As CNBC's Jason Gewirtz notes, the NFL recorded more than 10,800 drone violations near its stadiums between 2021 and 2025. Only a handful led to game disruptions.
