Yemen’s Defense Ministry said Monday that its forces had carried out 356 operations against Houthi targets over the past 24 hours, killing or wounding 476 members of the group and destroying command and control centers and military vehicles across 10 fronts.

The announcement came in a statement by armed forces spokesman Col. Majid al-Nuzaili, posted on the US social media company The statement said government forces had conducted 356 precision strikes over the past 24 hours “against reinforcements and military capabilities belonging to the Houthi militia.”The operations took place across 10 fronts stretching from the far north to the western coast, south and center of the country, it said.

According to the statement, the operations “left 476 militia members dead or wounded” and destroyed command and control centers, weapons depots and field artillery. It said government forces had also destroyed or damaged a number of the group’s military vehicles.

The ministry accused the Houthis of using civilians as human shields by turning schools into command centers, weapons depots and military supply stores. There was no immediate comment from the Houthis on the ministry’s statement.
