Mori Building and others showcased a demonstration in Tokyo on Monday of a suitcase-shaped robot equipped with artificial intelligence that can guide visually impaired people.
试用将在虎之门之丘综合设施内持续整个10月。活动包括两条路线：一条带领视力受损人士穿越室内外区域，另一条则允许普通访客体验该设备。
The trial at the Toranomon Hills complex will run throughout October. It comprises two courses — one that guides people with impaired vision through indoor and outdoor areas and another allowing any visitor to try out the device.
这款机器人由日本国立未来科学馆（又称“Miraikan”）开发，最终目标是作为租赁服务推出。
The robot is being developed by the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, also known as Miraikan, with the aim of eventually offering it as a rental service.
本身视力受损的馆长浅川千惠子说：“我希望这个项目能让我们更接近独立Walking在城中的梦想。”
“I hope the project will bring us closer to the dream of being able to walk around town independently,” said museum director Chieko Asakawa, who has impaired vision herself.
机器人配备了传感器和摄像头，可探测墙壁及障碍物，帮助使用者安全移动。
The robot is equipped with sensors and cameras to detect walls and obstacles and help users move safely.
在接收商店和路线相关信息进行训练后，其内置的AI聊天机器人还可以回答有关商品及其他信息的问题。
When trained on information about stores and routes, its built-in AI chatbot can also answer questions about products and other information.
此次演示由高级辅助出行平台联盟（又称“AI行李箱联盟”）组织。该联盟由一组支持机器人开发的企业组成，并在森大厦等机构的协助下开展活动。
The demonstration has been organized by the Consortium for Advanced Assistive Mobility Platform, known as the AI Suitcase Consortium, a group of companies supporting the robot’s development, with cooperation from Mori Building and others.
