Russia on Tuesday urged Iran to remain 'a responsible party' to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) following statements from Tehran that it seeks to withdraw from the nuclear treaty.
克里姆林宫发言人德米特里·佩斯科夫在新闻发布会上对记者表示，莫斯科已听到伊朗议会副议长阿里·尼克扎德关于德黑兰可能退出《不扩散核武器条约》的声明，并指出这些言论需要进一步澄清。
Speaking to reporters during a press briefing, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow has heard statements on the possibility of Tehran’s withdrawal from the NPT from Ali Nikzad, the Iranian parliament’s deputy speaker, and that these remarks require further clarification.
佩斯科夫说：“我们不希望伊朗退出《不扩散核武器条约》。我们认为该条约是不扩散机制的基石。我们确实希望伊朗能继续作为该条约重要且负责任的缔约方。”
“We would not want Iran to withdraw from the NPT. We consider the NPT to be the cornerstone of the non-proliferation regime. And we do hope that Iran will remain an important and responsible party to this treaty,” Peskov said.
这位发言人的表态正值伊朗媒体（包括国家电视台IRIB）周一报道称，尼克扎德表示该国议会将审议一项“三重紧急”动议，以退出《不扩散核武器条约》。
The spokesman’s remarks come as Iranian media outlets, including the state-run broadcaster IRIB, reported Monday that Nikzad said the country’s parliament will review a “triple-urgency” motion to withdraw from the NPT.
据报道，尼克扎德表示，德黑兰不信任国际原子能机构（IAEA）及其总干事拉斐尔·格罗西，因为格罗西“仅进行表面检查并提交针对伊朗的负面报告”。他还表示，该动议目前正在审议中，将在正式提出当天进行辩论，并补充说议会还将审查此举的国际影响。
According to the reports, Nikzad stated that Tehran has no trust in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as well as IAEA chief Rafael Grossi, because he conducts “merely superficial inspections and submits negative reports against Iran.”He was further quoted as saying that the motion is currently under review and will be deliberated on the very same day it is formally tabled, adding that the parliament will also examine the international implications of the move.
