House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told Fox Business Monday that all of the warnings about data centers and Artificial Intelligence wiping out humanity is nothing more than Chinese propaganda to get the U.S to drop out of the AI race.

“I mean, do you think that this, with regards to China — I mean, I’ve had several tech executives and lawmakers, to be clear, say that the information against data centers, that pushback against data centers — that is coming from China. They believe that,” said anchor Cheryl Casone.

保守派机构“传统基金会”（Heritage Foundation）指出：“与中国共产党有关联的人士正在美国积极宣扬反对数据中心的观点，而与此同时，中国政府却在大力资助本国的数据中心建设。”该机构还警告称：“各级决策者都应该提高警惕，并制定相应的政策来抵制中国的反美科技宣传。”
The conservative Heritage Foundation reported that “CCP-linked actors have aggressively amplified anti-data center voices in America, even as Beijing generously subsidizes China’s own…data center construction.”In addition, Heritage warned, “It’s time for policymakers at all levels of leadership to cultivate awareness and craft policies to counteract Chinese anti-American tech narratives.”President Donald Trump has repeatedly called the doomsday scenario a “hoax” meant to stifle U.S. innovation and allow China to take the lead in the AI race.

AI Data Centers are controversial because they take up a lot of space and require an abundance of electricity and water to keep the chips from overheating. In addition, U.S. tech executives like Bill Gates and Dario Amodei have warned that AI is developing too quickly and should be regulated before they’re unstoppable by humans.
