Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Tuesday held separate meetings with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin to discuss bilateral ties.

In talks with Steinmeier, Tokayev described Germany as a key strategic partner for Kazakhstan in Europe, saying bilateral cooperation is based on mutual trust, respect and shared interests, according to his office.
他指出，明年将迎来哈萨克斯坦与德国建交35周年，并强调了过去三十年间双边合作取得的进展。
He said next year will mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Germany, highlighting progress in bilateral cooperation over the past three decades.
施泰因迈尔高度赞赏托卡耶夫为扩大阿斯塔纳与柏林合作所作出的个人贡献，并表示相信此访将为双边关系注入新动力，将其提升到新水平。
Steinmeier praised Tokayev’s personal contribution to expanding cooperation between Astana and Berlin and expressed confidence that the visit would give fresh momentum to bilateral ties and elevate them to a new level.
会谈后，两国元首签署了联合宣言，重申致力于加强双边关系，扩大在贸易、投资、能源、交通、数字化、教育等领域的合作，同时支持根据《联合国宪章》实现乌克兰的全面、公正和持久和平。
Following the meeting, the presidents signed joint declaration, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, transport, digitalization, education and other areas, while supporting a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine in line with the UN Charter.
在与默茨的会谈中，双方指出在工业、关键矿产、交通物流、数字技术以及机械和化工等高附加值产品生产领域进一步扩大合作的潜力。
In talks with Merz, the sides noted potential for further expanding cooperation in industry, critical minerals, transport and logistics, and digital technologies, as well as the production of high-value-added goods, including in the machinery and chemical sectors.
托卡耶夫表示，德国是哈萨克斯坦的主要贸易伙伴和外国投资者之一，去年双边贸易额达到45亿美元，同比增长13.4%，过去21年间德国对哈累计投资达80亿美元。
Tokayev said Germany is one of Kazakhstan’s key trading partners and foreign investors, with bilateral trade reaching $4.5 billion last year, up 13.4%, while German investment totaled $8 billion over 21 years.
双方强调了在制造业和其他高附加值产业中的进一步合作潜力，并指出其联合投资组合包含40个工业项目，总价值约540亿美元。
The two highlighted further potential in manufacturing and other high-value-added industries, while noting that their joint investment portfolio includes 40 industrial projects worth about $54 billion.

Tokayev said Kazakhstan would ensure the security of German investments, while emphasizing the role of the intergovernmental working group and Kazakh-German Business Council in expanding economic ties.

They agreed to step up cooperation in international organizations, including through the Central Asia-Germany format, as well as in education, science and cultural exchanges.

Tokayev also invited Merz to visit Kazakhstan on a state visit. He arrived in Germany on Monday for talks aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between Astana and Berlin.
