Pharos Network, a financial Layer 1 blockchain, announced an Agent Native upgrade on the Korea Blockchain Week keynote stage. It introduces protocol-level infrastructure and AI-powered tools designed to let AI agents operate as native participants in onchain finance.

The rollout begins today and continues through the fourth quarter. It includes an Agent Native upgrade on the Pharos Testnet featuring sponsored transactions. It also includes the Pharos Port Agent Widget for natural-language interaction with real-world assets. Then there is a new AI portal at ai.pharos.xyz and a collaboration with AnvitaMate. There is also a multi-year roadmap toward what the company calls an Agent-Native Chain.

The announcement targets a gap that has held back AI agents onchain. Agents have moved quickly from concept to product in offchain settings. Onchain, however, a lack of reusable Skill assets, reliable payment capabilities and agent-to-agent collaboration has limited their presence. Pharos says agents should do more than answer questions. In its view, they should hold assets, call tools, coordinate with other agents and pay for their own actions.

Sponsored transactions live on Testnet The core protocol change in the Testnet upgrade is Sponsored Transactions. It separates who initiates a transaction from who pays the gas. Applications or approved sponsors can cover transaction costs while the original sender is preserved.

For users, Pharos is shifting toward intent-based interaction. The Pharos Port Agent Widget launches first with Harbor. The agent interprets the request and prepares the corresponding action, while the user keeps full control.

For developers, ai.pharos.xyz brings Pharos Chain MCP, Developer Docs MCP and the official SkillEngine together in one place. In a parallel release, AI agent infrastructure provider Anvita Flow launched AnvitaMate × Pharos. It packages the same capabilities into a local AI environment, so developers can build on Pharos without leaving their own workspace.

Roadmap through 2028 Pharos also laid out its next phase. PoS staking is set to go live in Q4 2026, and gas sponsorship is planned to enter the Testnet. In 2027, Agent Accounts, Agent account transaction interfaces and State Economy will progressively move into deployment. By 2028, Pharos aims to support end-to-end Agent-Native workflows through an integrated stack.

The upgrade arrives alongside a brand refresh. It is built around the mission “Put Real-World Value to Work” and the supporting line “Built for the Agentic Economy”. That ties the company’s RealFi focus on bringing real-world value onchain to its new agent infrastructure. “A brand refresh is not as simple as a new visual identity,” said Wish Wu, co-founder and CEO of Pharos Network.
