Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Wednesday received FIFA President Gianni Infantino in the country’s capital, Tashkent, according to the Uzbek presidency.
会谈后，总统府表示，因凡蒂诺高度赞扬了乌兹别克斯坦在足球领域的成就以及为支持国内体育事业所做的改革。
In a statement following the talks, the presidency said Infantino highlighted Uzbekistan’s football achievements and reforms aimed at providing comprehensive support for sports in the country.
会谈的重点之一是乌兹别克斯坦与阿塞拜疆共同主办2027年国际足联U-20世界杯的事宜。双方还强调了在推广足球运动，特别是青少年足球方面的合作。
A key topic was Uzbekistan’s co-hosting of the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup with Azerbaijan, the statement said. The two sides also noted their cooperation in advancing joint programs to popularize football, particularly among young people, it said.
声明指出，讨论内容涉及进一步深化合作伙伴关系，包括改进足球组织和管理体系、培养年轻人才，以及按照国际标准培训教练、裁判、管理人员、体育医生和技术专家。
“Discussions focused on further expanding the partnership, specifically regarding the transformation of football organization and management systems, fostering young talent, and training coaches, referees, managers, sports physicians, and technical specialists to international standards,” the statement said.
此外，双方还重点讨论了在乌兹别克斯坦举办重大国际足联赛事的安排，并加快在塔什干设立国际足联地区办事处的进程。
It added that special attention was paid to hosting major FIFA tournaments and events in Uzbekistan, as well as accelerating the opening of a FIFA regional office in Tashkent.

On Tuesday, Infantino was received by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku. Aliyev thanked Infantino for his support for the “ongoing efforts to develop football at the state level, both globally and in Azerbaijan.”
乌兹别克斯坦和阿塞拜疆正共同筹备明年举行的2027年国际足联U-20世界杯，这将是该项赛事的第25届比赛，上届冠军是摩洛哥。
Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are preparing to host the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup next year. It will be the 25th edition of the biennial tournament, which was last won by Morocco in 2025.
