A Honduran illegal immigrant facing multiple child sex crime charges is back in federal custody after authorities in Fairfax County, Virginia, previously released him from an immigration detainer, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Oscar Evaristo Nunez on Sept. 15, during a targeted enforcement operation, DHS announced Wednesday.

Nunez was initially arrested over a year ago on Aug. 27, 2025, on charges of aggravated sexual battery involving children and offenses related to the non-consensual filming of an undressed minor, according to DHS.
