Authorities detained Mersin Mayor Vahap Seçer, Yenişehir Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit and Mezitli Mayor Ahmet Serkan Tuncer on suspicion of fraud involving public tenders worth more than one billion Turkish liras (around €18 million), according to Turkish news outlet Anadolu.
