Nearly three in four households in accessible areas of government-controlled Yemen are unable to meet their basic food needs as renewed fighting drives displacement and disrupts markets and humanitarian access, the UN’s World Food Program (WFP) warned Friday.

Recent WFP monitoring found 74% of households were unable to meet basic food needs, the highest level seen this year and an indication that food security is “significantly deteriorating,” the UN agency said in an operational update.

More than 149,000 people have been displaced by renewed fighting, according to the International Organization for Migration.

The deterioration comes as conflict and rising prices further constrain access to food, the WFP said.
在塔伊兹的部分地区，短短两周内面粉价格便上涨了10%；贸易商估计，目前的小麦库存仅能满足两个月的需求。植物油供应出现中断，更是进一步推高了本已居高不下的食品价格。
Wheat flour prices have risen by 10% in just two weeks in parts of Taiz, while traders estimate wheat stocks are sufficient to cover only two months of demand. Disruptions to vegetable oil supplies are putting further pressure on already elevated food prices.
据悉，也门约90%的食品依赖进口，因此当地家庭极易受到贸易、航运及供应链中断的影响。
According to the WFP, Yemen imports around 90% of its food, leaving households particularly vulnerable to disruptions in trade, shipping, and supply chains.
该机构警告称，若也门西海岸及曼德海峡周边地区局势进一步动荡，食品价格恐将进一步上涨，也门乃至整个地区的粮食安全问题也将愈发严峻。
The agency warned that further instability along Yemen's west coast and around the Bab al-Mandab corridor could push food prices even higher and deepen food insecurity in both Yemen and across the wider region.
目前，也门全国共有1830万人面临严重的粮食短缺，220万名5岁以下儿童出现营养不良，其中50万名儿童患有重度急性营养不良。
Across Yemen, 18.3 million people face acute food insecurity, while 2.2 million children under 5 are acutely malnourished, including 500,000 suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
世界粮食计划署称，冲突还导致塔伊兹和荷台达的部分地区与外界隔绝，使得该机构及其合作伙伴无法向约35万名民众提供援助。
The WFP said conflict has also cut off access to parts of Taiz and Hodeidah, preventing it and its partners from reaching approximately 350,000 people.

The agency has already assisted more than 70,000 people in displacement hotspots in Taiz and Lahj and is preparing to scale emergency assistance to as many as 1.5 million people, according to the operational note.
