By Kelsey Butler The US and Mexico have jointly deployed military personnel in a border area in Texas as part of “mirror operations,” the Mexican government said Saturday.

The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Navy, in a statement released in response to the deployment of about 500 US soldiers in the Rio Grande Valley area, said Mexico has deployed 159 naval personnel, 11 vehicles and two drones on the Mexican side.
