Debris and dust fill Riyadh's international airport after a strike that killed at least 12 people and left more than 300 wounded on Saturday. It's the deadliest attack on the kingdom in more than a decade. Authorities say the dead include four Saudis, two people from Bangladesh, and one person from the US. US President Donald Trump said afterwards that Washington is considering joining Saudi strikes on the Houthis in the conflict. Timour Azhari is our chief correspondent for Saudi Arabia.

I think a lot of people are looking for answers today. This is the third attack on Riyadh airport, an airport that services a city of eight million people in a week. There was no early warning before this took place. Saudi Arabia has an early warning system. No alerts went off. Saudi Arabia also has air defenses and three times in the same week, those air defenses failed. This is a huge deal for Saudi Arabia and the front between the Saudis and the Houthis has become the most active front in the wider Iran war.

But with such an attack, everything is sort of in the air.

President Trump there calling for Ukraine to replace its leader, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, after the Ukrainian president offered a sharp rebuke to the US's new diesel supply deal with Russia, calling the deal a "weak decision by strong partners" and saying the proceeds would fund Russia's war in Ukraine. A steep rise in diesel prices following the start of the Iran war has become a political liability for Trump's Republican party ahead of next month's midterm elections. But Ian Kelly, a former US ambassador to Georgia, says the volumes involved in the deal are unlikely to help Trump at the ballot box in November.

That's India's cockroach group founder Abhijeet Dipke after his release from detention in New Delhi. He and other senior leaders have been detained when their plane landed in Delhi on Saturday as the movement planned to gather thousands of people on the streets. Thousands of police and paramilitary personnel continue to be deployed across the city today in expectation of a second day of protests. Although metro stations reopened, and mobile internet services were back up after the authorities locked down the city in an attempt to thwart earlier demonstrations. The group posted on its X account shortly after Dipke's release, "cockroaches never die." Next, a new first for rogue AI agents, an attempt send a bogus tip to authorities. Anthropic has disclosed that one of its AI models submitted a false homicide tip through a Philadelphia police website. Police say the tip was flagged as spam and never forwarded for investigative vetting. But the incident is one in a string of cases Anthropic said involved websites from by federal, state, and local agencies. Anthropic says it briefed the White House and notified all the agencies involved.

And I think history shows too that when any party, liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, find some new technique that's cost effective to reach voters, it's hard not to imagine that everybody's not gonna follow suit and try to, try to take advantage.

Cuccinelli or Loro Piana, they are both Italian brands. They are cashmere, you know, focused brands and they are not, let's say, as bold maybe and extravagant as some of the others. So this quiet luxury, this sort of understated type of luxury is faring better in this very difficult environment. On one hand, some of these brands are really vying for the upper echelons, if you want, you know, the ultra wealthy, who are immune from, you know, problems, you know, inflation problems. At the same time, we also have a Gen Z movement and so like a new generation of shoppers who are less interested in the obvious status, you know, that some of these big logos, you know, carry with them. And they're kind of looking at something which is maybe the epitome of luxury without being too bold or showing it off too much.
