President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are weighing whether to fire U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle amid reports that she engaged in inappropriate and possibly illegal behavior as Athens envoy, a U.S. official told MS NOW. Rubio is extremely unhappy with her, and Trump has expressed displeasure as well, but they have not decided what to do with her yet, said the official, who was granted anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

A decision on her future is likely to come this week, the official said.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Guilfoyle has improperly accepted gifts and services and offered to lobby the administration in exchange for paying off tens of thousands of dollars in debt, among other allegations. Guilfoyle has denied any wrongdoing.
