A new report from a human rights organization alleges that Mali's state armed forces, operating alongside Wagner Group personnel, seriously violated international law during joint military operations. The findings describe killings of civilians in the course of these operations, according to the report.

The report further alleges that detainees were subjected to torture, including simulated drowning, beatings and electric shocks, with some dying in custody. Investigators say members of Fulani, Arab and Tuareg communities were disproportionately targeted in the operations described.
