Assocham has launched a Business Confidence Index with indicator-wise contributions to track the impact of 20 business indicators on economic conditions and capture underlying business momentum and emerging trends.

The industry body’s President Nirmal Kumar Minda said the index aims to give businesses, policymakers and investors a broader view of the evolving economic environment and support more informed decision-making.

The index will provide monthly readings on the last working day of October, November and December 2026, before switching to a fortnightly frequency from January 2027.
