Moldova on Friday said that a bomb threat had been issued at Chisinau International Airport in the country’s capital.
The Moldovan Border Police said in a statement that its officers have intervened to evacuate passengers and staff from the airport, while specialized units from the country’s Interior Ministry are en route to the scene.
“Check-in procedures have been suspended, and scheduled flights may be subject to changes,” the statement said, advising those with flights scheduled for today to check their flight status on the airport's online information board. The statement added that further details will be provided as they become available.
