横滨——横滨市长选举共有七人报名参选，其中包括深陷丑闻的前市长山中竹春。为期两周的正式竞选活动于周日拉开帷幕。在10月18日的投票前，山中竹春的命运备受关注。
此前，一个调查委员会认定他骚扰市政府高级官员，他于上个月在第二个任期中途辞职。
Yokohama – Seven people have filed their candidacies in Yokohama’s mayoral election, including scandal-hit former Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka, with the two-week official campaign period kicking off Sunday. Yamanaka’s fate is in focus ahead of the Oct. 18 poll, which will be held after he resigned last month in the middle of his second term after an investigative committee determined he harassed senior municipal officials.
其他六名候选人分别是51岁的市民团体代表藤川幸子、43岁的前议员中谷一马、59岁的律师原泽敦美、37岁的公司经理福山敦、81岁的建筑师山本理显，以及46岁的日本共产党神奈川县委员会副委员长浅香由香。
The other six candidates are civic group representative Sachiko Fujikawa, 51, former lawmaker Kazuma Nakatani, 43, lawyer Atsumi Harasawa, 59, company manager Atsushi Fukuyama, 37, architect Riken Yamamoto, 81, and Yuka Asaka, 46, deputy leader of the Japanese Communist Party’s Kanagawa prefectural branch.
中谷得到了立宪民主党县分部的支持，原泽获得了自民党、国民民主党和日本维新会县分部以及公明党市议员的背书。福山则得到了参政党的支持。
Nakatani is backed by the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan’s prefectural chapter, while Harasawa is endorsed by the prefectural chapters of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party for the People and the Japan Innovation Party, as well as by Komeito’s city assembly members. Fukuyama is endorsed by Sanseito.
山中在周日的首次竞选演说中表示：“我希望在充分反思后，能再次以市长身份为居民采取政策措施。”与此同时，中谷承诺将“开启充满希望的市政管理”。原泽表示：“我将让市政府员工重拾笑容，这样居民也能微笑。我要让横滨成为孩子们感到幸福的城市。”福山承诺“恢复为居民服务的政治”。
“I want to take policy measures for residents again as mayor after full reflection,” Yamanaka said during his first campaign speech on Sunday. Meanwhile, Nakatani promised to “open up city administration for a future filled with hopes.”“I’ll bring back smiles to city government employees so residents can also smile,” Harasawa said. “I’ll make Yokohama a city where children feel happy to live.”Fukuyama pledged to “restore politics for residents.”
山中于2021年8月首次当选市长，当时得到了立宪民主党的支持。
Yamanaka was first elected mayor in August 2021, backed by the CDP.
2025年，他在自民党、公明党和立宪民主党地方组织的支持下连任。今年7月，第三方调查证实了其存在骚扰行为，导致他辞职。
He was re-elected in 2025 with support from local organizations of the LDP, Komeito and the CDP. In July this year, a third-party investigation confirmed instances of harassment, leading him to resign.
