LIV Golf officially extended the deadline for players to commit to the league, moving the date from Oct. 13 to Oct. 25, on the heels of BC Partners making its initial investment in "LIV 2.0" with a target of $300 million to bring the circuit out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

It was announced in August that players competing on the next iteration of LIV Golf would hold a majority of equity, with LIV CEO Scott O'Neil explaining the league will be "driven by and for the players." The most notable players still associated with LIV Golf include Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith, and Tyrrell Hatton.

At the moment, the PGA Tour is not providing any sort of straightforward path for players who previously defected to LIV.
