劳伦斯·黄总理评价称，在新加坡与老挝迎来发展合作25周年之际，两国关系“十分良好且热烈”。
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong described Singapore-Laos relations as “very good and warm”, as the two countries mark 25 years of development cooperation.
新加坡讯：10月7日星期三，劳伦斯·黄总理向新任老挝总理萨勒姆赛·科马西发去贺电，对其就任表示祝贺，并诚挚邀请他正式访问新加坡。萨勒姆赛于10月5日经老挝国会选举出任总理。
SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Wednesday (Oct 7) congratulated Lao Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith on his appointment and invited him to make an official visit to Singapore. Mr Saleumxay was elected prime minister by Laos' National Assembly on Oct 5.
黄总理指出：“多年来，两国在各领域的合作不断拓展，其中就包括老挝-泰国-马来西亚-新加坡电力一体化项目等互利共赢的举措。”
“Bilateral cooperation has expanded substantially over the years, including in mutually beneficial initiatives such as the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project,” Mr Wong said.
他同时提到，两国还在碳信用交易、打击跨国犯罪等新兴领域开展合作。
He added that the two countries are also cooperating in new areas, including carbon credits and combating transnational crime.
黄总理强调：“通过新加坡合作计划与东盟一体化倡议举办的各类培训项目，新加坡始终全力支持老挝的现代化建设。”
“Singapore has been a strong supporter of Laos’ development through training courses organised by the Singapore Cooperation Programme and the Initiative for ASEAN Integration,” Mr Wong said.
最后他表示：“我期待与阁下携手努力，推动两国关系迈上新台阶。”
“I look forward to working closely with you to take our bilateral relations forward,” he added.
