Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Thursday that Iran cannot be easily isolated, pointing to the country’s ties and extensive exchanges with its neighbors.
据伊朗国家广播公司（IRIB）报道，佩泽希齐扬在启程前往土库曼斯坦前对记者表示：“他们不能这么轻易地孤立我们，因为我们在该地区拥有15个邻国，通过这些通道中的每一条，我们都可以维持许多经济、商业、政治和安全交流。”
“They cannot isolate us so easily because we have 15 neighboring countries in the region, and through each of these routes, we can maintain many of our economic, commercial, political and security exchanges,” Pezeshkian told reporters before departing for Turkmenistan, according to Iranian state broadcaster IRIB.
他表示，区域合作带来的机遇也将有助于发展伊朗的互动、规章制度和贸易。
He said opportunities arising from regional engagement could also contribute to developing Iran’s interactions, regulations and trade.
他补充说：“我希望我们能够实现既定目标，并将通过我们的讨论继续推进。”
“I hope we can achieve the objectives we have in mind and will pursue through our discussions,” he added.
佩泽希齐扬已启程前往土库曼斯坦，出席独立国家联合体（独联体）峰会和里海环境峰会并发表讲话。预计他还将在会议期间与多位与会领导人举行双边会谈。塔在此发表上述言论之际，华盛顿对德黑兰的经济压力仍在继续。
Pezeshkian departed for Turkmenistan to attend and address the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and a Caspian Sea environmental summit. He is also expected to hold bilateral talks with several participating leaders on the sidelines of the meetings. His remarks came amid continued US economic pressure on Tehran.
