Finland has approved an €18.3 million ($21.2 million) US-funded grant to explosives manufacturer Forcit Pori Oy Ab to establish a TNT production facility aimed at strengthening supplies for Finland, NATO and Ukraine, the Finnish Defense Ministry said Friday.

Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen approved the €18.255 million grant on Oct. 9, according to the ministry.

The funding, announced Sept. 15, is being provided by the US and channeled to the company through the Finnish government.
