The London Halal Forum has kicked off on Saturday, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and industry leaders to explore opportunities across a growing range of sectors.
该论坛由Halal360主办，这是伊斯兰商会与发展机构及清真产品发展公司（HPDC）的联合倡议，安纳多卢通讯社担任其全球传播合作伙伴。
The forum is organized by Halal360, a joint initiative of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development and the Halal Products Development Company (HPDC), with Anadolu serving as its global communications partner.
论坛以“清真泰耶布，惠及人类”为主题，将审视清真经济在认证和食品之外的扩张，涵盖投资、旅游、技术、供应链、品牌和国际贸易等领域。
Under the theme Halal Tayyib for Humanity, the forum will examine the halal economy’s expansion beyond certification and food products into investment, tourism, technology, supply chains, branding and international trade.
在开幕致辞中，伊斯兰商会、工业和农业秘书长哈桑·哈利维表示，伦敦为清真行业通过创造力和国际互联实现增长提供了理想环境。
In his opening speech, Hassan Khalawi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, said London offers an ideal environment for the halal industry to grow through creativity and international connectivity.
“我们需要创造力，也需要互联互通，而这正是我们能够在此轻松建立和发现的，”哈利维说。
“We need the creativity and we need the connectivity, and this is what we can build and find easily here in London,” Khalawi said.

He stressed that the halal economy is moving beyond its traditional focus on food to encompass a wider range of Muslim lifestyle sectors, including media, technology and Islamic art.

At the forum’s second edition, held just 11 months after the inaugural event, organizers introduced three concepts focusing on halal lifestyle, halal technologies and Islamic art.

Khalawi said the aim is to take these initiatives beyond London and develop them in markets worldwide, highlighting plans for a halal reception in Paris and the upcoming ASEAN Halal Forum in Bangkok.

“What is next is to take that from here to the rest of the world,” he said, underlining the importance of international partnerships in expanding the industry.

Khalawi thanked the forum's partners and sponsors for helping "create creative halal concepts everywhere" as the intitiative expands globally. He noted that with the global Muslim population projected to reach between 25% to 30% by 2050, it is vital from a business perspective to understand the importance to "cover all lifestyle sectors."

'Halal has become more than a religious requirement' For his part, Fahad bin Suliman Alnuhait, CEO of HPDC, said halal has become more than a religious requirement, emerging as a global benchmark for quality, safety and trust.

He said Saudi Arabia is seeking to transform its position from one of the world’s largest halal import markets into a producer and exporter under its Vision 2030 economic diversification strategy.

Alnuhait highlighted HPDC’s role in supporting this transformation through investments, industrial development and international cooperation.

Over its first three years, the company made more than six investments, enabled six factories and helped bring three international company headquarters to Saudi Arabia, he added.

The company also supported the creation of more than 3,000 direct and 5,000 indirect jobs, while delivering 75 advisory projects and undertaking 10 international government projects to support halal strategy development across Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states, he explained.

Alnuhait said the London Halal Forum provides an important platform for connecting markets, producers and consumers, strengthening the halal value chain and creating new business opportunities.

“It's a bridge,” he said, describing the forum’s role in connecting European and UK markets with global opportunities.

Following the opening speeches, plaques were presented to sponsors. Anadolu Deputy Director General for Administrative and Financial Affairs Oguz Enis Peru received the plaque on behalf of Anadolu.
