The airport overtook London Heathrow in aviation data provider OAG’s Megahubs 2026 ranking, according to a statement from airport operator IGA.

The airport’s fourth runway, which opened in September, will provide additional aircraft movement capacity and improve operational efficiency, Bilgen said.
