BANGKOK, Oct 15 : The United States wants its global partners to rename artificial intelligence as "super intelligence," convinced that the new moniker better reflects the emerging technology, a top US Treasury official told Reuters in an interview on Thursday.
财政部国际事务副部长Erin Browne表示，华盛顿正与国际货币基金组织（IMF）监督委员会的其他股东方进行协商，就草拟的声明使用新词汇。
Treasury Undersecretary for International Affairs Erin Browne said Washington was in negotiations with other shareholders of the International Monetary Fund about using the new term in a statement being drafted by the fund's steering committee, the International Monetary and Financial Committee.
美国总统特朗普上个月曾指示美国政府机构在谈及该技术时使用“超人工智能”而非“人工智能”。
US President Donald Trump last month directed US government agencies to use the words "super intelligence" instead of "artificial intelligence" when referring to the technology.
Browne表示，美国作为二十国集团（G20）轮值主席国，希望该名称变更能在国际上广泛采用。
Browne said the United States, which holds the rotating presidency of the Group of 20 major economies, wanted the change to take hold internationally as well.

She declined to comment on whether Washington would refuse to sign off on the statement unless the switch was made.
