Turkish first lady Emine Erdogan met Pich Chanmony, wife of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, in Istanbul on Friday.

Erdogan welcomed Chanmony, who accompanied her husband during his visit to Türkiye, at the entrance of the Vahdettin Mansion. The two greeted each other with an embrace and posed for a commemorative photo in front of the mansion before proceeding inside for talks.

During the meeting, Chanmony signed the Global Zero Waste Goodwill Declaration, an initiative prepared under Erdogan's leadership and first signed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan and Chanmony later had a meal together. In a social media post after the meeting, Erdogan said she was pleased to meet Chanmony.
