Financial Corp. named three executives to help run its $420 billion consumer bank as Chief Executive Offer Mike Lyons, who took over last month, lines up his new leadership team.

D. Steve Boland is joining the company as vice chair, after leaving Bank of America Corp. last year as chief administrative officer, the company said in a statement Friday. Shimna Sameer, who joined Truist in June also from Bank of America, initially to lead the wealth business, will take on the role of chief consumer banking officer. And Jeff Warner is joining from PNC Financial Services Group as the chief small-business banking officer.

Truist, which services individuals and small businesses mainly in the eastern and southern US, said the appointments reflect a focus on growing core deposits. Dontá Wilson, Truist’s chief consumer and small-business banking officer, will be leaving the bank after more than 30 years, according to the statement.
