It’s that time of year again. Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority (PA), has issued a decree to postpone Palestinian elections. In exchange for recognition of Palestinian statehood last year, Mr. Abbas had promised French President Emmanuel Macron that he would hold elections in 2026 at last.
