Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein have signed a free-trade agreement with Vietnam, the governments of Norway and Vietnam announced on Sunday.
越南贸易部表示，该协定是在河内与欧洲自由贸易联盟成员国签署的。
Vietnam's trade ministry said it signed the deal in Hanoi with the European Free Trade Association members.
挪威政府在一份声明中称，协定生效后，挪威对越南出口的一半将实现零关税，七年内超过98%的出口将实现零关税。
Around half of Norway's exports to Vietnam will be tariff-free when the agreement enters into force, with more than 98% to be tariff-free within seven years, the Norwegian government said in a statement.
越南贸易部表示，东南亚国家越南主要向EFTA市场出口海产品、鞋类、纺织品、机械设备、电子产品及零部件，并进口工业机械设备、化学品、医药产品以及生产原材料。
Vietnam's trade ministry said the Southeast Asian country mainly exports seafood, footwear, textiles, machinery and equipment, electronics and components to the EFTA market and imports industrial machinery and equipment, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and raw materials for production.

Bilateral trade between Vietnam and EFTA member countries has averaged $2 billion annually, the ministry said.
