The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, known as SERAP, has filed a lawsuit against Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission at a federal court in Lagos. The suit alleges that INEC has failed to publicly account for ₦126bn in election-related spending. SERAP says the funds were earmarked for ballot boxes, electoral devices, sensitive materials, result sheets, vehicles and accreditation equipment.
