A second batch of land at Hong Kong’s flagship tech hub at the border with mainland China has drawn nine bids, with frontier technology firms and major conglomerates among the tenderers.
运营香港深圳创新及科技园（HSITP）的环港园区公司周二公布了上述结果，距离八月底首轮土地招标收到六份来自大型集团和高科技企业的投标书已过去近两个月。
The Loop Hong Kong Park Company, which operates the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP), revealed the results on Tuesday, nearly two months after six bids were received from conglomerates and hi-tech firms for its inaugural land tender at the end of August.
周二的招标涉及园区一期开发中主要用于实验室和办公用途的三幅地块，其中一幅符合条件可与人才住宿地块配对。
Tuesday’s tender covered three land parcels mainly for laboratory and office use in the park’s first phase of development.
公司表示：“参与投标的包括前沿科技企业、具有园区运营经验的企业以及大型集团，再次肯定了业界对环港园区未来发展的信心。”公司称，前两轮招标的结果将于年底前公布。
One is eligible to be paired with a talent-accommodation parcel. “The participating bidders include frontier technology enterprises, enterprises with park operation experience, and major conglomerates, reaffirming the industry’s confidence in the future of the Loop Hong Kong Park,” the company said.
公司表示，两轮招标提供的地块将与即将落成的首批八座大楼相辅相成，其中包括北部都会区大学城的旗舰项目——环港学苑一期。
It said the results of the first two tender rounds would be announced by the end of the year.

The company said the parcels offered across the two tender rounds would complement the first batch of eight buildings due to be completed soon, including Loop Academy One, the flagship project of the Northern Metropolis University Town.

行政长官李家超在上月的施政报告中表示，已有超过100家创新科技（I&T）企业入驻香港深圳创新及科技园。
The company said it would closely monitor market conditions and development needs, and continue to release land in a well-ordered and progressive manner.
他还透露，预计今年将推出一项新的试点计划，约10家人工智能和生物科技公司将首批获准享受跨境数据流动便利；而一份旨在便利逾1000名工作人员跨境流动的“白名单”预计将于明年年中前准备就绪。
In his policy address last month, Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said more than 100 innovation and technology (I&T) firms had moved into the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park.

The company earlier described the response to the inaugural tender, which covered four land parcels in the park, as “enthusiastic”, with six bids submitted.
