TOKYO -- Japanese brokerage IwaiCosmo Securities said Tuesday that unauthorized access to the operator of its online trading system resulted in unapproved transactions in client accounts.

Trade Works, the system operator, faced unauthorized system access by a third party on Oct. 14. The trades were initiated in seven accounts and completed in five of them. IwaiCosmo took steps to restore the accounts to their previous states. "No burden has been incurred by the customers," the company said in Tuesday's announcement.
据岩井Cosmo称，此次泄露还导致4975人的个人数据外泄，比周五最初公布的规模增加了364人。
The breach has also led to the leakage of personal data on 4,975 people, up by 364 from the initial scale announced Friday, according to IwaiCosmo.

The compromised data included names and email addresses. None of the leaked information was used for the unauthorized transactions, according to IwaiCosmo.
