China recorded a surge in border crossings by both mainland Chinese citizens and foreign nationals in the third quarter of this year, as Chinese companies expand overseas and Beijing steps up incentives to attract foreign tourists.

The country logged a total of 192 million border crossings in the July-September period, up 7.9 per cent year on year, according to data released by the National Immigration Administration on Tuesday.
其中，外国人入境1160万人次，同比增长15.6%；免签入境人数激增24.1%至899万人次，占入境外国人总数的77.5%。
China received 11.6 million foreign arrivals, up 15.6 per cent, with visa-free entries surging 24.1 per cent to account for 77.5 per cent of the total.
数据显示，入境外国人来源国前三位依次为俄罗斯、韩国、越南，随后是马来西亚、美国、日本、新加坡、泰国和澳大利亚。
The top three sources of foreign visitors were Russia, South Korea and Vietnam in that order, followed by Malaysia, the United States, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Australia, according to the data.
