The Ministry of Defence has signed a ₹770 crore contract with Bharat Electronics Ltd to supply improved low-level light-weight radar systems to the Indian Army. The radars can detect and track fighter-sized aircraft as well as mini and micro drones. They can also prioritise aerial targets, helping the Army identify potential threats and respond to them.
