Sydney-based Mary Technology has connected its litigation tool to Harvey, the $15.6B legal AI company. Lawyers drafting in Harvey can now draw on the facts, evidence and reviews their team has built up in Mary, including conflicting accounts. Workflow firm Autologyx also joined Harvey’s connector library.

Mary Technology, a Sydney-based legal AI startup, has connected its litigation tool to Harvey, the legal AI company valued at $15.6B, Legal IT Insider reported on Wednesday. Mary reads a case’s documents and builds a record of the people, dates, events and evidence involved. Lawyers then check and confirm those facts. The new link lets lawyers using Harvey draw on that checked record while they research and draft, rather than starting from scratch.

The record keeps track of where evidence conflicts, where there are gaps and which documents back up a claim, Mary said. It also shows which documents were used and which were left out.

Trial lawyers are already leaning on AI. Mark Lanier, who won a $6M verdict against Meta and Google in June, said AI tools that reviewed daily trial transcripts cut his workload by about two-thirds.

When new documents change the picture, Mary suggests updates, which lawyers must approve. Mary says firms keep control of who can access the data, and that client files are not used to train AI models.

The link runs through Harvey’s Connector Library, which lets law firms plug Harvey into the tools they already use. Workflow software firm Autologyx also joined on Wednesday. Mary raised $7M in seed funding earlier this year to expand in the US, according to SmartCompany.
