Toronto police say they have found a vehicle believed to have been used to abduct three children from Scarborough on Friday, but the children and their mother have not been found.

In a news release Monday, police said the mother of the three children, Somerda Miclescu, 22, was believed to be driving a 2017 White Ford Expedition vehicle with Ontario license plate DJJS 875. Police did not say where or when they found the vehicle.

Police have named Ionut Stroe, 25, who owns vehicle in which Miclescu fled, as a person of interest. Stroe is also wanted for four counts of failing to comply with a release order, unrelated to the abduction.
