The European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) has yet to receive an in-person statement from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen as part of its investigation into the bloc’s COVID-19 vaccine procurement, news outlet Politico reported Wednesday, citing a source familiar with the matter.

Asked about reports that von der Leyen had not provided an in-person statement, European Commission spokesperson Thomas Regnier said the institution had cooperated extensively with EPPO.
