Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, has been conferred the Chevalier de l’Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur, France’s highest civilian honour. The French government recognised his contribution to India-France economic ties and his work in telecommunications, digital infrastructure and satellite communications. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, presented the insignia at a ceremony held at the Residence of France on October 28.
