首尔：韩国正着手对在国家大学入学考试中使用人工智能（AI）智能眼镜作弊的学生实施更严厉的处罚，包括可能提起刑事起诉以及禁止三年内重考。
SEOUL: South Korea is moving to impose tougher penalties on students caught using artificial intelligence (AI) smart glasses to cheat in its national college entrance examination, including possible criminal prosecution and a three-year ban from retaking the test.
韩国教育部于周四（10月29日）在11月大学修学能力考试（CSAT）之前宣布了这些措施。
The Ministry of Education announced the measures on Thursday (Oct 29), ahead of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) in November.
根据拟议的修改，被发现使用AI智能眼镜作弊的学生可能被禁止参加CSAT三年，而目前的规定是停考一年。
Under the proposed changes, students caught cheating with AI-powered glasses could be barred from taking the CSAT for three years, up from the current one-year suspension.
教育部在一份声明中表示：“严厉的应对政策，包括对智能眼镜作弊进行刑事处罚以及延长取消资格期限，将统一适用于CSAT以及从今年开始的各大学自主考试。”
“The strict response policy, including criminal punishment for smart glass cheating and extended disqualification periods, will be uniformly applied not only to the CSAT but also to university-specific exams starting this year,” the ministry said in a statement.
教育部表示，违规者还可能被移交警方，可能面临刑事起诉，罪名包括以欺诈手段妨碍公务和干扰业务。
Offenders could also be referred to police for possible criminal prosecution on charges including obstruction of official duties by fraudulent means and business interference, the ministry said.

AI-powered smart glasses have emerged as a challenge for South Korean authorities following a series of cheating incidents involving the devices this year. Five cases were reported between May and June, according to South Korean media reports.

In one case, a candidate was seen pressing a button on a pair of glasses, causing a blue display to appear on the lens. All five candidates were penalised for cheating, with three referred to prosecutors.

Two suspected cheating attempts involving smart glasses were also reported at the University of Seoul and Yonsei University in October. A man tries out AI smart glasses at an AI exhibition in Shanghai. The ministry added AI smart glasses to its list of prohibited examination items in July.
为进一步加强执法，韩国当局今年将在全国CSAT考点部署1312名指定检查员，每个考点分配一名。
To further strengthen enforcement, South Korean authorities will deploy 1,312 designated inspectors across CSAT examination centres nationwide this year, with one assigned to each site.
