Armed men have reportedly abducted Nigerian opposition politician and presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore in the southwestern city of Ado-Ekiti, with his whereabouts unknown.

The attackers, according to a post made on his official social media handles, stormed Tawakalitu Restaurants and Catering Services on Friday, where Sowore was present, and forcibly took him away.
“武装暴徒绑架索沃雷。他目前的下落不明！”其中一条帖子写道。
“Armed thugs kidnap Sowore. His current location is unknown!” one of the posts said.
事件还导致部分餐厅遭破坏，多张桌椅受损。据报道，餐厅外一辆车辆受损，另一辆车轮胎被扎破。
The incident also left parts of the restaurant vandalised, with several tables and chairs damaged. A vehicle outside the establishment was reportedly damaged, while another had a flat tyre.
