The NordBalt electricity connection between Lithuania and Sweden was disconnected Friday afternoon, media reports said.

According to initial reports, the high-voltage direct current connection was disconnected following a failure at the converter station on the Swedish side, broadcaster LRT reported.
立陶宛输电系统运营商Litgrid向该立陶宛广播机构表示，NordBalt断开后，备用电力已启动，向立陶宛消费者输送的电力未受中断，保持稳定。这条与瑞典相连的700兆瓦电力连接自2016年起投入运行。
After the NordBalt disconnection, reserves were activated, and electricity transmission to consumers in Lithuania was not disrupted and remained stable, Lithuania's electricity transmission system operator Litgrid told the Lithuanian broadcaster. The 700 MW power connection with Sweden has been operational since 2016.
瑞典广播电视台SVT报道称，瑞典电力运营商Svenska kraftnat正在“调查原因”，但此次断电未影响电网。
Swedish broadcaster SVT reported that Swedish electricity operator Svenska kraftnat is "investigating the cause," but that the outage did not affect the electricity grid.

"There is currently nothing to indicate external influence," noted Tobias Ostberg, spokesperson for the Swedish company.
