French shipping giant CMA CGM has launched a dedicated weekly block-train service between the Port of Mombasa and Nairobi's Embakasi inland depot, aiming to strengthen trade links across East Africa.

CMA CGM has announced the launch of a dedicated block-train service between the Port of Mombasa and the Embakasi inland container depot in Nairobi. The service will run with 54 wagons and a capacity of 108 twenty-foot equivalent units, initially operating once a week.
