Wiltshire Police said the attack happened near the car park at Tesco Extra in Trowbridge shortly before 14:00 GMT on 31 October.

The force said three men wanted in connection with the attack are Redouane Bendhiyaf, 47, Dion Barrett, 50, and Joshua Galbraith, 35, who all have links to Trowbridge.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries, police said.

The three men are believed to have targeted the victim near the car park before fleeing the scene, police said.

Det Sgt Jonathan Dean, from Wiltshire Police, said: "Our investigation into this incident is continuing at pace and we are asking for the public's help to locate these three men.
